Little Man “T”- 2 Months

January 14, 2010

Little man “T” made a short appearance in the studio today. Unfortunately he wasn’t feeling the greatest so we were only able to grab a few shots. He is one of my babies who visits me every month. When he turns 12 months we will create a beautiful storyboard for mom with pictures from each month. Here is his sneak peek:

With the new year, my only *real* resolution was to make Shannon Fry Designs better… no, make that better and awesome!!! I am continuing with changes to the website, the studio, my services, and more. I will be bringing you new products to help you cherish your photographs long after the session is over.

DSC_0150webThe studio work is almost complete, just a few paint jobs and a little decorating left to do. We are installing a children’s play area. Pictures will be coming soon. I plan to have an official Grand opening some time early in the spring, and right now, all I can say is it won’t be your traditional meet and greet with cookies and punch. There will be a guest photographer or two, some shooting action, and some awesome giveaways.

Among my duties, I now have a new role as Washita County 4-H Photography Leader. Which I am utterly excited about! I, myself was very involved with 4-H as a kid, and cannot wait to help some little artistic minds grow! Be on the lookout for updates here. Our first meeting is Saturday, January 9th at the Studio inside The BIT (Gerald’s Grocery’s Gift Shop) at 4 o’clock.

This month will be about inspiration and stepping out of the box for me. I’m doing a lot of research and investing in my own photography education. January and February tend to be slow months, so I am taking advantage and doing my homework. Spring and Easter pictures are going to be awesome this year and will begin in early March.

One other change: Mini-Sessions will no longer be offered on specific dates only. You may schedule a mini-session on any given date and time, so long as it is at the Studio or surrounding area. I will not travel out of town for mini-sessions. However if you are out of town and want an on-location portrait party, please contact me. Just like any other *product party* hostesses earn free and discounted prints.

On a personal note, most of my recent clients know that my father was put in the hospital back before Thanksgiving in very critical condition. I am pleased to share that he has finally made a good recovery, and has made it home this weekend. He will continue to get better, although it will be a struggle, but the Lord has given my father a second chance. Thanks be to God.

As always I am open to any feedback or questions. You can call or email me. I’ll be bringing more news to you soon! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I truly hope your new year is filled with blessings!

Sweet Baby Face

January 2, 2010

At this little guys session, it was mostly all about the face. he’s just darling and it’s so hard not to focus on his cute face and gorgeous eyes! It was a crazy shoot, the wireless trigger decided to go hay wire, but we managed several cute shots. He’s not much of a smiler in front of the camera, so daddy has to work really hard to get a smile. Here is his quick sneak peek!

“S” Family Sneak Peek

January 1, 2010

I can’t tell you how busy this past week has been! Between photo sessions and family holiday obligations, I feel like I have gone 5 million miles this week. It’s all slowing down now and I’m back to the computer bringing you proofs and sneak peeks.

On Wednesday I traveled to Elk City to meet up with the “S” family for a quick photo shoot. The main objective was to get a shot of everyone together. With all of the snow from the past week, it made for an interesting and cold session. But we managed and I think despite the kids being cold (and the photographer) we did all right. I must admit that large group shots are hard for me as I am finding out over the past few weeks.

“S” family, thanks ’snow’ much for the fun! Here’s your sneak peek:

I like saying Twenty-Ten… it just sounds cool! With the year almost over with, I thought it would be fun to do my own year in review. It’s been a wonderful year despite the ups and downs, and I have so much hope that 2010 will be even more blessed and full of pictures.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me this year, it has meant a lot to me and to my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
