January 2010 News
January 3, 2010(LOOK BELOW FOR REGULAR POSTS)
*1/9/10* January Special is a free 20 minute session on the “Snow Much Fun” set, or a half priced regular session fee!!!

With the new year, my only *real* resolution was to make Shannon Fry Designs better… no, make that better and awesome!!! I am continuing with changes to the website, the studio, my services, and more. I will be bringing you new products to help you cherish your photographs long after the session is over.
The studio work is almost complete, just a few paint jobs and a little decorating left to do. We are installing a children’s play area. Pictures will be coming soon. I plan to have an official Grand opening some time early in the spring, and right now, all I can say is it won’t be your traditional meet and greet with cookies and punch. There will be a guest photographer or two, some shooting action, and some awesome giveaways.
Among my duties, I now have a new role as Washita County 4-H Photography Leader. Which I am utterly excited about! I, myself was very involved with 4-H as a kid, and cannot wait to help some little artistic minds grow! Be on the lookout for updates here. Our first meeting is Saturday, January 9th at the Studio inside The BIT (Gerald’s Grocery’s Gift Shop) at 4 o’clock.
This month will be about inspiration and stepping out of the box for me. I’m doing a lot of research and investing in my own photography education. January and February tend to be slow months, so I am taking advantage and doing my homework. Spring and Easter pictures are going to be awesome this year and will begin in early March.
One other change: Mini-Sessions will no longer be offered on specific dates only. You may schedule a mini-session on any given date and time, so long as it is at the Studio or surrounding area. I will not travel out of town for mini-sessions. However if you are out of town and want an on-location portrait party, please contact me. Just like any other *product party* hostesses earn free and discounted prints.
On a personal note, most of my recent clients know that my father was put in the hospital back before Thanksgiving in very critical condition. I am pleased to share that he has finally made a good recovery, and has made it home this weekend. He will continue to get better, although it will be a struggle, but the Lord has given my father a second chance. Thanks be to God.
As always I am open to any feedback or questions. You can call or email me. I’ll be bringing more news to you soon! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I truly hope your new year is filled with blessings!
