Heidi Maternity- Part 1

January 15, 2010

Yesterday my sister-in-law made a visit to the studio for part one of her maternity session. We had a lot of fun and she was very bold with her poses. She truly has that glow and is a gorgeous mom-to-be. I can’t wait for part two and for my little nephew to get here! Here is her sneak peek:

Thanks Heidi! I had fun!

“S” Family Sneak Peek

January 1, 2010

I can’t tell you how busy this past week has been! Between photo sessions and family holiday obligations, I feel like I have gone 5 million miles this week. It’s all slowing down now and I’m back to the computer bringing you proofs and sneak peeks.

On Wednesday I traveled to Elk City to meet up with the “S” family for a quick photo shoot. The main objective was to get a shot of everyone together. With all of the snow from the past week, it made for an interesting and cold session. But we managed and I think despite the kids being cold (and the photographer) we did all right. I must admit that large group shots are hard for me as I am finding out over the past few weeks.

“S” family, thanks ’snow’ much for the fun! Here’s your sneak peek:

“G” Family

December 28, 2009

(I know the website looks different, I am in the process of fixing it, we took a crash Christmas Eve in the middle
of editing it when we lost power, so I lost some important information. Don’t worry, it will be brand new soon!)

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

I don’t know if I have ever worked as hard at a photography shoot as I did yesterday. And my work is not done yet!

I drove to Shamrock Texas yesterday and photographed a family of 49 yesterday… 49!!! When one of the grandchildren called a few weeks ago and said there would be about 50 people; well let’s just say 50 people is hard to imagine in your head. So imagine trying to squeeze 50 people in on about 20ft of backdrop. Unfortunately, outside was not a choice due to the weather and wind. So we managed inside their barn, with a red couch section, piano bench, my backdrop and two lights. Whew!

What can I say about the family. They were very kind and sweet, and they all worked together to make this shoot run as smooth as possible. Thank you guys for the hospitality!

Here is a quick sneak peek of just a few of the many-many poses we shot (read: the easier-to-edit shots! hahaha):

And lastly, I know the family is dying to see how the HUGE family picture turned out. With their permission, I am posting it here, but it’s not done. There are a few people who were unable to be there that have to be super-imposed in the back. But overall, it’s not bad… definitely a little crowded, we tried to keep families together. I didn’t really know what to expect with that large of a group. I know had we been able to go outside, it would have been MUCH better.

Thanks “G” family. You guys were awesome!

“S” Family

December 22, 2009

All mom wanted for Christmas was pictures of her kids. Her oldest daughter took on the task, called me, and we made it happen right before Christmas. Thankfully the weather cooperated and we found some nice color. Merry Christmas mom!!!

Jami’s Engagement

December 22, 2009

Despite the cold day, we had so much fun shooting these two for their engagement pictures. They have a unique farm life and seem to just fit perfect. I was really feeling it with these two. Here is their sneak peek:
